TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH - FAT TUESDAY MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION​ @ 12:00 PM
​MASS invites you to celebrate Fat Tuesday with a pizza party and game day. Come have a paczki, a piece of pizza, play a game ~ win some beads, and join in on the fun!! 



TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND - KISS THE CRITTER FINALE @ 2:00 PM

The 18th Annual Kiss the Critter Fundraiser, sponsored by Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care is in full swing. Thirteen local celebrities are involved this year. Participating individuals and locations include: 
Rayanne Sester, MASS Director ~ Michelle Hansen of Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care
Cathy Atkinson of Sullivan’s Foods ~ Jana Trembly of OSF St. Paul Medical Center  
Tina Toner of Stonecroft Retirement Village ~ Cindy Jenkins of Cindy’s on 34, Connie McCully of Subway ~ Cathy Sterchi of Mendota Lutheran Home, Rose Bonnell of Financial Plus Credit Union ~ Joe Arteaga of El Zarape, Michelle Sommer of Liberty Village of Peru ~ Brian Fisher from the Mendota Fire Department and Michael Long from the Mendota Police Department
Donations will be accepted at the above participating locations. The individual raising the most money will have the privilege of kissing the little critter, also known as “Peaches”, the skunk! The grand finale and the “kissing” will take place on Thursday, February 22nd, at 2:00 PM at Mendota Heritage Health. 100% of the proceeds benefit MASS.

MASS thanks Mendota Heritage Health and all of the volunteers for their support of our services. Words cannot express how grateful we are to you for organizing and running this major fundraiser year after year! 

*MASS has raffle tickets available for a Variety Pork Package ($50 value) that includes: pork chops, bacon, sausage, ham and brats. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Stop in the MASS office and get yours now!

*February 2nd ~ Heritage Health is holding a Bake Sale at 1st State Bank ~ Washington Street location ~ from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. All proceeds will go to Kiss the Critter benefitting MASS!

*February 10th 4:00 PM - 9 PM ~ Ziggies for MASS, hosted by Heritage Health, Mendota. Join us at Ziggie’s for a delicious, home-cooked meal! Dinner Special: Ziggie’s chicken strips, fries, dinner roll & choice of side all for just $10!  Dine in or carry out available. A $2 donation will be made to Kiss the Critter for each meal purchased.

*February 13th 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM ~ Sip-n-Snack for MASS, hosted by Mendota Lutheran Home. Tickets are only $8 in advance or $9 at the door for a Chicken Dinner (light, dark or strips) and can be purchased at Mendota Lutheran Home, MASS, or at the door. Dine in or carry out available. There will also be a Bake Sale, a 50/50 Drawing and several Raffles. MASS will be offering transportation to Sip-n-Snack for this event to our seniors in the community. If you would like to schedule a ride, please call MASS at 815-539-7700. Mendota Lutheran Home will have a variety of raffle items available. As in previous years, you can purchase the tickets and then decide which raffle item(s) you can’t live without! Put all of your tickets in one bucket, or spread them out! Stop in at the Mendota Lutheran Home for details or to purchase tickets.  

*Heritage Health – Mendota is raffling off the following items:
  ~ 55 Inch Philips Smart TV ~ Series 3 I Watch ~ Amazon Echo ~ Spa Basket by Healing Massage by Heather
  ~ They are also doing a 50/50 drawing

*OSF St. Paul Medical Center is raffling a 55 Inch Smart TV. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Tickets may be purchased in the administration at OSF during regular business hours. For more information, call OSF and ask to speak with Stacy Belski.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28TH - MASS PORK CHOP BAR-B-Q STARTING @ 4:30PM


The annual MASS Pork Chop BBQ, sponsored by Mendota Area Senior Services,
 is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the
Mendota Civic Center. 
 Serving will be from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM 

Advance tickets sales will begin Monday, February 26th at the MASS office,
 First State Bank & Plaza North, Eureka Bank, First Federal Savings and Loan, Midland Bank,
 and Gehant Bank.
 Advanced tickets may be purchased through Tuesday, March 27th.

Prices for the event are:
1 Chop Dinner -$9.00 advanced price *
   ($10.00 at the door) *
2 Chop Dinner - $11.00 advanced price *
   ($12.00 at the door) *
Kids Hot Dog Special -$4.00 *

Carry outs will be available inside or at the drive thru line.

There will also be a 50/50 drawing* and
A Silent Auction with many amazing items!

Jazz Band Spring Concert
will follow at 7:00 PM. 

FRIDAY, MARCH 16TH - ​LUCKY BINGO @ 1:30PM
Join us in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 16th at 1:30 PM, as we celebrate with ‘Lucky’ Bingo. Special refreshments will be served and a prize will be given to the person wearing the most green! 
THURSDAY, MAY 31ST - RIVERBOAT CRUISE @ 9:45AM
Let’s enjoy spring cruising down the river. Thursday, May 31st we will leave MASS at 9:45 AM for Oregon IL, and board The Pride of Oregon to enjoy lunch and a two hour cruise. Approximate return time is around 3:00 PM. The cost of this trip is $45/person. Contact the Mass office to make reservations.
