For transportation information or to schedule a ride,
 call MASS at 1-815-539-7700

When possible, please call the MASS office at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. This will allow you a better chance to secure the time needed. A donation is suggested for this service, and no one age 60 or over will be refused a ride due to inability to pay.

MASS also has special transportation, with volunteer drivers, available throughout our area for out-of-area medical appointments Monday through Friday. We know that some people have doctors, dentists, etc. in other towns, such as Sandwich, Ottawa, Rockford, etc.  There is a requested donation for this service.

Transportation Certificates
Ride certificates are available for our transportation services throughout MASS’ entire service area. This would make an ideal gift for anyone who uses the van, or for someone who might be thinking about it! Contact the MASS office at 815-539-7700 for more information.
Regularly Scheduled Van Transportation

MASS is partnering with Graves Hume Public Library in Mendota to offer you free Movies! The movie matinee is offered on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM at the Library.  Refreshments will be provided. Upcoming movies are:

Wednesday, November 29th – ‘The Christmas Miracle’ Thomas Kinkaid presents the heartwarming drama. Due to a snowstorm, eight strangers are forced to take refuge in an abandoned church. During their time together, they learn from one another how to manage through various personal dilemmas, and that despite their differences, through working together; they can make even the most unlikely miracles happen. This uplifting holiday story shows the real meaning of the season – kindness, understanding and love.

Wednesday, December 27th – ‘The Bucket List’ Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die. In the process, both of them heal each other, become unlikely friends, and ultimately find joy in life; starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

Wednesday, January 24th – ‘Marley & Me’ The heartwarming and unforgettable story of a family and the neurotic dog who taught them what matters in life; starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

Be A Santa To A Senior Program
MASS is once again participating in the “Be a Santa to a Senior” program sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care of Peru. Senior names along with several gift ideas will be placed on Christmas trees throughout the Illinois Valley area. People may select a name(s) from the trees and buy a gift or gift cards for that senior. For many of the seniors, this may be the only gift they receive during the holiday season. Please help us spread some holiday cheer by selecting a name or two. The tree will be filled with names at Hy-Vee Foods in Peru from November 17th through December 11th. Gifts will be delivered the week of December 21st. Thank you for helping!
